  • How does Personal Training work?

The client contacts me and books a FREE counseling. During the counseling we get to know each other and identify the client’s target and what can be achieved. Then the client decides how many sessions they want to book with me per week or per month. I will create a training plan based on the client’s needs and during the training session I teach the client how to correctly perform the exercises and using the equipment.
A nutritional diary will also be sent by email to verify if the client needs any nutritional advice.
The client is educated about how to perform the exercise, how much intensity they should apply and how to workout to achieve result so that at some point the client will not need me anymore and will be able to workout by themself.

  • What happens during the first Personal Training counseling?

The first counseling is FREE and it is an opportunity to know each other. No exercise is involved in the initial counseling. It’s a private and informal chat where you will explain me what you want to achieve and could ask me anything about fitness and wellbeing. It will also be the opportunity for you to know more about me, my experience and to understand if I am the right person for you.
Counseling does not imply any obligation.

  • How many Personal Training sessions do I need?

The number of sessions is based on client’s needs, experience and targets. There is no fixed amount of sessions. Someone asks for a weekly session, someone else prefers two or three sessions per week, others want to go just for one session per month and managing their training plan by themself during the rest of the mont

  • Do I have to go to the gym?

It’s not mandatory. You can choose to exercise at ROKO gym with me, in West Bridgford, or in the gym where you have the membership following my training plan.
If you do not want to go to the gym, you can workout with me in the comfort of your home. The workout will be arranged according to your choice.

  • Can I workout at home?

Yes, I offer mobile service. You can book an appointment to workout in the comfort of your home and if you don’t have any equipment, no worries, there is plenty of options to workout. Depending on your training plan I will bring the necessary equipment to your house or we can go for bodyweight workout.

  • Do you have any package or discount offer?

Yes, I offer packages and discounts. Contact me to know more about them.

  • Am I too old/overweight/unfit to exercise?

No, you are never too old, unfit or overweight to start exercise. Everyone can start exercise at any age and at any condition. If you will start exercise, you will have more energy and will feel much better and younger.

  • Do you accept both male and female clients?

Yes, I accept everyone.

  • I have a pre-existing condition, can I workout?

Before starting training together, you will be asked to fill some form to declare your health status. If you suffer of a condition for which the GP approval is needed, you will be asked to provide a letter from your GP stating that you are allowed to workout.

  • How does Online Coaching work?

The initial process is the same as the one for 1-2-1 Personal Training sessions. We will have an initial counseling and if you decide you want to workout with me, you will have to fill some forms to declare your health status and you will sign an agreement.
The training session will take place via Zoom or Skype. The type of workout will depend on your needs, experience, targets and equipment.

  • Can I only have a training plan and working out by myself?

Sure, you can. Many clients ask me just for a training plan to exercise at the gym or at home.

  • What is Sports Massage?

Sports Massage is a massage which speeds up recovery in athlete and help to prevent injury. A Sports Massage Therapist has knowledge of muscular and skeletal system and customises the treatment according to client’s needs.

  • Do you only offer Sports Massage?

No, I offer also Deep Tissue and Swedish massage.

 

  • What’s the difference between Sports, Deep Tissue and Swedish massage?

Sports Massage: Can alleviate pain caused by muscle shortening or weakness, joint dysfunction, neuromuscular inefficiency, injuries, …


Deep Tissue Massage: Uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It focus more on releasing chronic muscle tension or adhesions.

Swedish Massage: Helps to stimulate circulation, flush the circulatory system, release tight muscles, restore range of motion, and to relieve pain.

  • What happens at the first Massage appointment?

The first appointment lasts one hour. You will be asked to fill a form to declare your health status to ensure you don’t have any condition which prevent me to give you a massage.
Then you will have the opportunity to explain me the reason why you need a massage and to show me the body part you want me to treat. before starting the massage, a postural and mobility assessment will be performed to evaluate your physical status and identify if there are other areas of your body that need treatment.

  • Is Sports Massage painful?

Sports Massage is not as relaxing as Swedish Massage. It can cause soreness and ache as it requires firm stroke to release muscle tightness. However, the experience is different from person to person and really depends on individual’s sensitivity.

  • Can I have a massage if I have any pre-existing condition?

It depends on the condition. There are some rules to follow: for example if you had a fracture I cannot provide a massage in the same area of your body before 3 months since you had the injury. In case of cancer massage should not be provided before one year since the client is cancer free unless there is a medical approval.

  • Can I have a massage if I am pregnant?

I cannot provide a massage for pregnant women. You need to contact a Certified Massage Therapist specialised in pregnancy. Providing massage for pregnant women without having the necessary skills and experience can be dangerous for the woman and the baby as well.

  • I’m not 18 years old, can I have a massage?

You can have a massage only if one of your parent or tutor is present in the room and signs the consent form for you.

  • Where can I have a massage?

I work both mobile and in a Physiotherapy clinic in West Bridgford, Nottingham. You can decide to have a massage in the comfort of your home or in a more clinical environment. If you decide for your home, you will need a room to fit the massage couch that I will bring with me.

  • What happens if I miss a session?

I’m very flexible. If you cannot make it, I ask you to give me a 24 hours notice and to rebook the session so that you don’t miss anything. I don’t charge any extra for a missing appointment.

​

  • Are you a Physiotherapist?

No, I’m not. I am a Sport Therapist. I support people in their rehabilitation journey creating exercise plans according to their condition, so that they can go back to a pain free life.

  • Do you accept card payment?

Unfotunately I don’t accept card payments. I accept bank transfer and cash.

​

  • Will I receive an invoice?

Yes, you will receive an invoice by email every time a payment is made.
